The mild weather we were having had to end. Woke up to a coating of snow and temp in the teens with wind. Coldest day yet although more typical for this time of year. I braved the cold and wind to shoot some video of the KMRR at work.
Shawn,
Whatever part of the snow you can’t handle please send it our way. Please!
Shawn,
It was pretty cold here. Never did get above freezing today.
Snowed for about 20 minutes last night. Just a dusting that the high wind quickly blew away.

When it gets over 2ft Ill send some to you. I need to get out on my cross country skies. Its been a pathetic winter so far.
“It’s been a pathetic winter so far”. I’ll agree with that statement, we’ve only had 7" of snow since November. The grounds been bare and cold, but no snow.
How about coming home to a broken water line…

85F and sunny here today. All them snowbound tourist Badger Boosters come for the Rose Bowl were walking around with that envious hatefull look in their eyes
It’s 43 F here in beautiful downtown Deer Park, where there the main street is one way, and it is headed out of town.
I’m thinking of starting a vineyard (or is it vinyard, my spellchecker disagrees with me).
Had a dusting of snow this morning, but even as cold as it has become, the sun melted it right away. I’m not in any hurry for accumulations - we got more than our share last year.
But just in case, The crew had the plow train out on Sunday to check clearances and the new fuel system (14.8V LiIon). All performed well until they decided to highball through a facing point and picked it. Good thing the derailment separated the power cable as one truck went forward while the other turned right :o OUCH!

How about a whineyard and a goat cheese operation? You’d be set for any party!
Shawn,
I loved seeing the layout in the winter snow. The long rays of the setting sun also looked great on the wooden structures and the wood of the rolling stock. A work of moving art!!! You done good.

Well gents…
No snow here, but supposed to get down to around 27 tonight here in the panhandle of Florida. That’s damn cold for here.
And I get to ride the Bike to work tomorrow. BBRRRRRRRR!!
Bob C.
Just a bit over 3" here, but the wind has been a bit too brisk for farting around outside much, especially for doing silly things like testing the new plow engine… maybe tomorrow.

Shawn,
Nice video, nice railroad, nice logging train. Thanks!
Any plans to add sound to that Class A? What a great story the stack talk could tell.

Thanks Steve I thought about adding sound but a few things keep me from doing it: I cant see spending that kind of money on the sound systems, to me they seem way overpriced, plus after a while I think the noise would drive me nuts, and the noise muffles the sounds of the metal wheels on the track. Who knows maybe one day I will get one especially if the price is right like $50 lol.
