Oil drops below $130

Oil dropped below $130 a barrel today for the first time in a month, loosing more that $10 a barrel in two days.
Yet gas and diesel both went UP 10 cents a gallon today here locally.
So, what happened to gas prices in your neighborhood today?

Same old, same old.
The line was not to get our hopes up since the decrease has to work through the system first.
Yep, they sure know their system: It’s instant pressure on the way up and a trickle valve on the way down. But that’s OK, my gas consumption has declined by 50%, you can’t work on the model railway and drive hither and dither.

Yesterday, Friday July 18th, the price of gasoline here in my area of Ottawa was $1.26.7 per Litre.
This is down from $1.38.9 a week ago…but we won’t be shocked if it shoots up overnight to the higher price.

We’ve been holding steady within 4 cents of $4.25/gal for several weeks. Todays trend is down. Previously we were going up by at least 5 cents a week. I expect to spend almost $700 on gasoline in a few weeks to driving a little over 1000 miles round trip to camp in MD and WV.

UPDATE: Down to a 6 week low at noon $4.23 / Gal. I bought too soon this morning :o

I’m retired , and really glad my hobby is outside in the yard here at home .

Now Saturday they have dropped the price by 10 cents, making the cost of one gallon of gas the same as before the drop in oil prices.
Raised it a dime for a day so they could lower it a dime to “reflect” the lower oil prices.
