Thanks for photo…
Yet, the manufacturer? Bachmann - a good guess?

Yes Wendell,it’s the (for some) long awaited Bachmann K…I have amended the first post to reflect the manf…sorry friends!

That’s gonna get added to my Christmas list…

No inside-cant cylinder models.
454, 456, 458 and 461 are what I need.

The outside-cant won’t fit my turntable uprights.
Inside-cant will.

At least this batch won’t be equipped with a whole lot of cut-and-throw electronics.

Does inside “cant” reference a feature of inside vs. outside framed narrow gauge locos?

It refers to whether the piston and valve slant inwards, where the piston sticks out farther than the valve, or outward where the valve sticks out farther than the piston. If I remember my K lore, the outside valve cants stick way out, which is what Dave is refering to.

Dave, maybe time to rebuild the turntable?

We did, all three of them, at least once over the past 15 years.
Glory wn’t take the length, Mound House and the main terminal will, but I’m tired of widening them.

My Magnus does all three, length and width.
I think I may do what Rod did and modify it.

Gadzookus…better save up my pennies and wait to build a turntable…

Here it is as a .jpg

Okay, right from the convention floor.

This was a mock-up done in China for the show, of production and non-production parts.
Production units will have the correct stack, correct water hatch (apparently this one sits too high), and the doghouse will have an interior.

This was punched out to have something to show of what they have been up to all these many months.

The Bach-Boy will be back on-line Sunday night and answer questions.

And the teenie front footsteps up to the running boards ?

Yunno there could be a case here for a set of retro laser cut parts as a conversion kit if Bachie is nt going to do an innie.

thanks Timmy, time did not allow to convert from BMP…now for some Eastern Prototypes Please!
