There is something odd here , I think the news agency was in a rush and put up pics of a Main Line crash from last year with today’s RhB crash .
But all trains look the same , don’t they ? Yeah , right .

That section is between two tunnels, there is no alarm fence i.e. up to now there were no problems at that location. The speed limit is 60 kmh, emergency application doesn’t stop on a dime.
BTW since the front truck of the engine stayed on the track but the rear derailed and the following coach took the brunt, something tells me that the train and the slide coincided. From what I read the slide was 10ft deep in places, not likely that the engine would have made it through.
