There is ONLY ONE thing to vote on, Your favorite!
P.S. To me at least that means only pick one. I think they are all wonderful, but here goes:
#2 - Jim Cunningham’s Last Leviatham locomotive
#3 - Todd Brody’s Embark Dog Park

Ahaaaa Dave. what about your 2nd and 3rd place votes?

I like them all, it is hard to pick, but here it goes.

for 1st… I like Chriswalas’ Jabberwock loco and cars.
I am just blown away by the detail and creativity, wow

for 2nd… I like Cliff_Jennings’ Großgoldklumpenoderklieneeisbergeisenbahnschwertransportwagen … fantastic presentation, and makes me laugh, I love it

for 3rd… I like Jalicunning’s LAST LEVIATHAN
Perfectly captures the aesthetic from the films it was inspired by.

The choices were hard, I wanted to include them all for various reasons, inspiring work from all.

I think this is by far the most whimsical of the bunch. way far ahead of the pack.
Jabberwock loco and cars

Al… What about 2nd and 3rd?

Are you noticing a trend here, Dave? Perhaps you should state “Pick your favorite for first, second, and third places.” Might clear up a thing or two.

Regards, David Meashey

All great entries and all quite whimsical. As always picking favorites is difficult at best, but our fearless leader has spoken so favorites we must choose. Here goes:

  1. Chris Walas - Jabberwock Loco - cause its the poster child for A.W.N.U.T.S.
  2. Team Mueller - Nekobasu (Cat Bus) - cause its Team Mueller and I like cats
  3. Todd Brody - EMBARK DOG PARK - cause I like dogs

Hat’s off to all entries and a BIG thanks to Dave Taylor for once again moderating a great Mik Challenge.

Because I think “whimsy” should do your head in…

  1. Chris Walas - Jabberwock Loco - because of his unusual choice of vacuum parts and things I’d never consider using.
  2. Team Mueller - Nekobasu (Cat Bus) - because I like cats and this is pure nuts!
  3. Rooster- Limpid. - because an illuminated gymnasium hidden in a beautiful car is such a ridiculous idea it would me look twice. Kudos for the Dave Taylor singer/fitness guru photo.

Great stuff all around and again thank you to Dave Taylor for continuing this tradition over the many years.

Voting as always with Mik fashion in mind.

1…Vic, “Darjeeling Streamliner” …( just total Mik and that’s what it’s about)

2…Jim, “Last Leviathan” …( I wasn’t sure at first when he cut up the LGB F7 (Good Lord Forbid) but what a great (killer, pun intended) theme that you can always add too)

3…Mueller Clan, " Totoro’s Bus" ( again just total Mik but with the next generation of hobbyist all working as a team! Now if I can just get them to blank out a couple windows in the bus and add HEP cabling with ditch lites)

  1. Chris Walas - Jabberwock
  2. Vic Smith - Darjeeling
  3. Jim Cunningham - Leviathan

Okie Dokie…
All of them were excellent and left a tear in my eye (and fear in my brain as to just what modeling direction things have gone over the years)

1). Chriswalas Jabberwock
2). Cliff Jennings Nugget Transport Large Chicken thingy
3). J. Cunning Last Leviathan - with points off for limited safety railings on top

Get outta bed!
