The moron who orchestrated Mickey Thompson’s murder and that of his wife, Trudy, guilty.
Some of you know why I have an interest.
Hope he gets a “friendly” room mate.

Dave,
Thanks for sharing. Although I don’t know your connection, I saw Mickey Thompson as a hero while I was growing up. When 14, I built a model of his 4-Pontiac engine Land Speed Record attempt car. It’s good to see justice finally served.
JimC.
And, as a kid, my brothers and I climbed around “Uncle Mickey’s” garage in El Monte, with the spare wheels, Pontiac engines, LaSalle transmissions, and the non-scooped hood from Challenger One hanging on the wall while he was doing Challenger II…
406 mph … in a car.
That’s about a mile every 9 seconds…
Boston to New York … and back … in an hour.
Wow.
point 6.
Get it right.
Damn… had the calculator set to “G-Gauge” again. … with the wavy equals sign.
Mea Culpa…
Jim Carter said:Jim - I built that model too. I had forgotten all about it. Thanks for the memory.

Dave - Kind of makes you wish they still used “the chair” doesn’t it?

SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! At the Rose Bowl Big A Colluseum! Mickey Thompson presents the wildest, fastest, craziest race event of the year !!!
Yeah, you couldnt grow up in SoCal without knowing who Thompson was.
Heard the verdict on the news, won’t comment on the verdict as I wasn’t at the trial, dont know what evidence was provided, but they did say on the news the defense is going to appeal the verdict. I guess theres still more to come.
Come to think about it… I think I still have that model packed away in a box, deep in the basement. Last time I saw it, some hard times had befallen it, but most of it was intact. I may have to dig it out some wintery day.
