Off-Topic Forum

Hi folks
I created the Off Topic forum to keep the off-topic discussions out of the on-topic forums. Remember, we’re a LS trains site, but there is enough non-train banter to warrant a place to discuss other stuff, and having it separate allows me, er, members, to not have to wade through it all.

Please use it!

Thanks

Does speculation on LGB management qualify? The more this goes on, the more I think a separate forum “index” is a good idea.

Regards, Greg

I don’t know.
Where is the “definition page”?
I always thought LGB was trains, not off-topic…

We don’t need a separate forum area for this stuff, we just need a scorecard. The LGB saga is interesting and a bit entertaining in a soap-opera kind of way, but it’s hard to understand why some seem to take any mention of it rather personally.

Re: LGB. The trains are great fun, but the politics of the company and the verbal contortions of those who support them and those who don’t are rapidly becoming a royal PITA.

This will be my first and last post on the whole business.

Quite frankly I’m tired of hearing all the speculation, stories, press releases and BS about LGB! They’re either gonna go broke or they’re not. Makes no never mind. If the market is there somebody else will step up to the plate! If nobody takes over, then we’ll just have to make do without them; and yapping about it ain’t gonna change whatever is gonna happen.

I feel the discussion of LGB is on topic for this forum. It is train related. Also I enjoy the discussions and even enjoy throwing in a little “what if” spin to the discussion. The problem is real simple for those that have no interest, just click the “mark all articles read” on the way out. I think it’s fairly clear which ones are about LGB and which ones are not. I think we’ve done a fairly good job of keeping our other political BS in the OFF TOPIC forum. If you don’t want to read it, then don’t. But don’t try to censor the rest of us because we want to discuss these matters…comical as the soap opera may be.
