O-Gauge forum advice, please.

Greetings, All.

Wondering if anyone can recommend an O-gauge (3-Rail-O) Forum that has a “For Sale/Trade” section in it, similar to LSC’s.

I would like to sell my daughter’s Chessie System diesels, freight cars and caboose

(Lionel, Williams, MTH, IR) to help with upcoming college expenses.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

Joe Satnik

Ogaugerr.com. they have a great forum with an active buy/sell.

The market is flat. You won’t get anything compared to the memories she will have in a few years if you save them for her.

Thanks, Steve.

Joe,

OGR’s For Sale/Trade sub-forum is closest to what we have here on LSC, but be aware that prices on items there are lower on average than you would receive if you chose to sell them on an online auction site. Overly priced items tend to not sell or end up on an online auction.

If you must sell your daughters trains, go with an online auction, you’ll atleast get enough out of them to pay for some of her books and fee’s her first semester.

Keep them, who know’s… Maybe on down the line you’ll have a grandchild that you can tell “this was your mama’s train”…

“0” gage is the rage these days. I go into my local train store and they have everything imaginable. Yet, O is the most likely to sell. I suspect this is because it is not to large or too small and there is a plethora of things one can do in 0 scale. Selling used items is simply a matter of networking. As I found out when I sold all my entire 0 gage. I literally would go to the train store and listen as fellow customers walked around. Sometimes I would blurb out something like, “hey, I have several sets for sale”. Now the owners know me real well and they knew I was trying to sell this stuff. So, there was no conflict of interest per say. Anyway, networking and getting what you have to sell out there in a train store works wonders.
