I think UP did their heritage schemes a few years ago.
BNSF heritage would be nice, though.
Still praying for CP to do heritage units - especially d&h and SOO
Soo Line would be cool!
Right in my back yard 15 mins from the house.
One word, WOW! Even my wife said the same.
Don’t know if anyone has seen this one. It’s the NKP 765 with the NS/NKP heritage pulling the NS employee steam excursion. NS said this was a dead head to Virginia. You’ll see the water tender or “canteen” behind the 765 and the gons are full of fuel for the 'ole girl. Word has it that the 765 is on long term lease to NS. If anyone has any other details please share.

Btw, in case anyone missed it, there are pictures of the July 4th gathering of the heritage units here: http://www.largescalecentral.com/LSCForums/viewtopic.php?id=17040

Terry - The EBT mail list is all a-buzz about 765 passing by Mt. Union, PA on the way to Enola in Harrisburg. Horseshoe Curve has been advertising a special Steam on the Curve ticket for days that 765 will be running by. I can copy some of the dates for you if you want.
On the way back from Canada/eastern US trip, we were going around Columbus, just in time to see a Steam engine pass under the Columbus 460 loop, heading into downtown, leaving a nice smoke plume in it’s wake… of course, traveling in traffic, at 65 MPH, I couldn’t look at it much…
NS really has the PR machine working on these heritage units, even the animation on the main web page is cool - http://www.nscorp.com/nscportal/nscorp/
Mark Dash said:Not to mention the thousands of Railfans giving them a whole lot of free publicity all over Facebook and the internet ;) Ralph
