From personal experience I doubt it very much. 
There is a lot more out there than model railways of any size. Or sitting at a computer doing whatever one does on the computer.
Seven days of talking to people, instead of typing at them, about all kinds of things, even 1:1 railways on several different continents. 
Watching really nice scenery go by. Interesting even when it rained and one could watch the clouds slowly lift from the ocean and drift up the steep mountain slopes. One lady commented: Like B&W photography until one includes part of the ship in the picture.
Very relaxing stuff.
We’ll take care of all that relaxation when he comes back!
