Have you noticed that the better taggers have learned not to cover reporting marks? When they do, the RR paints over their tags, but so long as the vital information remains readable they leave the graffiti intact. Some of them are quite good. I don’t like to see it on buildings or rocks and such, but some of it really improves some ugly old RR cars.
Not crazy about the taggers but this caboose pic caught my eye -
