Welcome Bob,
Glad to see another prototype modeler join the crowd.
As for that picture, to paraphrase Crocodile Dundee: Now that’s a model!

Bob,
if you already got a space on the net, where you upload your pics, it is easy. just copy the address of the pic into your text. no computer-voodoo needed. the forum software grabs the pic and shows it.
(REMOVED DUPLICATE PICTURE)
Welcome, Bob…drop into the chat one evening, and gab a bit…
You’ve got the right idea Bob, it’s just that the forum software doesn’t like spaces in a file name. http://freightsheds.largescalecentral.com/users/unclebob/_forumfiles/SWITCHING ARCHIVES AMERICA.jpg
You can edit in %20 to replace the spaces and it will work, or rename your photo without spaces. [code]

Looking good by the way
looking good? - that is the understatement of the week!
Korm Kormsen said:Yeah. I don't know if it was intentional, or not, but the hues make it look like an old color photo.

A little Photo Shop never hurt anybody.
Crossing 35Th Ave.
Great stuff!
Crossing 37th Ave (looling north). Benchwork here was 48in deep.
OK-- Managed to get a pictuer up—not totally sure how I did it—Are y’all laughin’ at me!!!
(that’s OK) BTW–my first “success” was to turn code into picture back on page 2 and NOW we have a double posting of “switching Archives”. Anybody know how to fix(delete) this?

? 3413 is in the “alley” switching the Archives America yard.

Benchwork was set at 58in. Here’s an over-view. Note: the building to the extreme right is a fascia flat, only 3in deep and modeled as a cross section, open to the aisle. This creates the “alley” and still keeps the tracks close enough to the aisle to be reached for switching.
This is a close-in view of the previous scene. JC Ready Mix. Loader is a reworked toy.

? This is Tri-Rail, state operated commuter service.
Here Tri-Rail is passing under the Airport expressway–track to the right is CSX downtown spur. Both tracks passed outside here to “outdoor scenery on shelves”.
I wonder if anyone seeing these pictures is familar with Lance Mindheim’s HO scale “East Switch” which was featured in2007 Great Model Railroads? It sure caught my eye. Looked like a good plan for an indoor 1/29 scale switching layout. I contacted Lance, told him my plans, then did my own prototype research on the web (I’ve never been to Miami).
Too bad all this had to come down; I expected it to last a lifetime. Now it’s “parts”.

So much for the old layout. The NEW layout is being built here, in the upper level of my friend and fellow large scaler, Harry Kelley’s barn.
