Large Scale Central

Not G scale, but

Found this video by accident, and it’s awesome! I mean, the models are great, but look at the track work and the trestles!! What a layout!! Hope you enjoy.

Belongs to a friend of mine in Oregon. I just heard this past week that his home and ALL of his trains are for sale, imcluding his indoor, 4000 sq. ft. Fn3 layout!

Ah yes, the famous Tom Miller. There was a full page add last month in the “Live Steam” magazine showing what is for sale. If I had only won the Lotto!!!

After having read some of the write-ups and seen some of the videos my question is: what’s he gonna do next???

So Gary, since Tom is your friend, perhaps you can enlighten us as to why he is moving out of state, if the speculation in another forum is correct.

Now that was very enjoyable…thanx for posting!

I have his home phone and I might call him today. I haven't been in contact with him for about seven years. Always used to see him at LALS for the Spring Meet. But to trek the Big Boy and some twenty 1/8 scale cars from Oregon every year (AND you have a railroad the size of his), that gets old quickly.

I’m concerned about a health issue. Something doesn’t seem right. I’m going to call a member of LALS today and see if I can get an answer. AND NO, we don’t need any more speculation! Maybe someone could put a link to the ad in Live Steam here. I’ll find out today.

Gary, I PM’d you.

Brilliant viewing!

Tom Miller posted this morning on MLS, to explain his situation. All good news. Just re-adjusting to a different lifestyle and the inevitable “What do you do with all your stuff as you get older?”

Good news is…well, GOOD!! Glad to hear it’s just an adjustment.
