Nose Jobs

I’m attempting to get a couple more Dash 9’s into service. :astonished:

Are you just raising the angled part of the nose?

Pete, I’ll explain with photos. The CN cabs have a different nose setup to allow for the tear drop windshields. I also changed the side windows.

Thanks makes total sense now . Looking forward to more progress

The first one went into service this past summer.

Here’s a shot of it in action.

Two more cabs ready for Spring paint. The CN cab must have had the special paint, because it would not come off, even after a 2 month soak. The gray cab soaked for 1 day in the same bucket and is nice and clean.

A young friend of mine is starting university, and when he graduates, he’ll be getting a AC44C6M equipped with RailPro and an 18.5 volt battery. I have four years to get that one complete. Cab will be complete this summer ( gray one ). I think I will have to scratch build the front third of the long hood, so that is going to be a challenge.

I’m hoping to have the 2648 running by the weekend.

Pete,

Things tend to enter my shops, and get lost forever. :open_mouth:
