I’ve been lucky enough to catch a couple of Heritage Units recently.

It was pretty dark when the Lackawanna came through Marion, NC.
You’d never know it by the video.
The Panasonic HC-V500 did an excellent job on this.

Ralph, I really like that retaining wall in the beginning of the movie. Maybe model it with railroad ties with planks glued in the flanges. Nice.

That’s cool how they put them right up front …

I just got lucky in that regard, Ken. On trips in the other direction they were trailing.
Last two days the Southern and Wabash units have been in the area. But I was working.
And so far they’ve been sandwiched in between regular NS locos.

Thanks for showing the whole train . Great video’s !

You’re welcome, Mike.
Most people don’t watch the whole train. But it’s always there for those that do.

I missed the Southern unit leading in beautiful weather today.
I had two choices. Miss the train or piss off the wife

They also brought the Wabash E-8 through the Old Fort loops today on the way to Spencer.
Good thing I found out about it too late. Because I would have pissed off the wife for that

Nice!

I saw a green one on sat coming back from Charlotte NC…Beautiful!

Caught the Reading Heritage unit today in the rain.
Here she is at the Ridgecrest tunnel east of Asheville, NC.
