Not sure you were doing it for me or not, but we like it… tks…
Really like the temp. coulper… We do that all of the time on our Get-together group here in Rio Linda… It works… laf.
Noel

TAC,

How do you keep the camera so stable following the train? I always seem to get vertical motion, it looks like I am walking.

Love the bread tie coupler

Bob C

I sneak…

Ah, apologies, Noel - it was Joe Satnik that that mentioned an interest in this paint-job.

Still it was nice to see, eh?

tac

I think that I asked for it last…

Thanks, tac.

Ah, whoever, eh?

Just enjoy an unusual paint-scheme on an old friend.

My buddy here suggests the next custom-paint job to be LNER…hmmmmmmmmmm.

Tac,

Well, you got 2 of the letters right, “oe”. Just quietly sitting back and enjoying the show. Very nice looking paint and lettering, great video.

Did get a look at the photo in the book you had mentioned (Quote Tac from an earlier thread):

“Page 19 of Dale Sander’s excellent book ‘The Northern Pacific’ where the original of my little loco can be seen outside the shop in St Paul”.

(I grew up on the east side of St. Paul.)

The photo was more of a head-on shot, no where near as impressive as a side shot. Lucky it caught your eye, I would have missed it.

Thanks again.

Sincerely,

Joe Satnik

There must be a few fans of American outline trains over there…2 fer 2 in the video…

There’s gotta be a prototype for the bread ties… since there’s a prototype for everything…

NOT ‘bread ties’, please, but ‘universal multi-gauge coupling system’. I’ll admit that they could also be used as bread-ties, in a pinch…if ya really HAD to.

Best

PS - more to come…BIG dismals on my teeny track. No laffin’, remember. Have a look - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0X86hj9-sDA

At the risk of offending those who dislike anthropomorphic trains and/or Bachmann, I had to resort to using twist ties to hold the troublesome trucks and Percy together on the Thomas layout's latest show outing; the Bachmann coupling hooks kept losing their grip on the loops, but twist ties over the buffer-beam hooks kept everything in order. I am seriously considering making three-link chains for the wagons and chucking the hook&loop couplers to perdition.

touche TAC!
