Noel Wilson has an article describing his storage/transport carts in the Feb. 2015 GR magazine. I visited Noel a while back and was amazed at his carts. They sure do hold a lot and are easily moved. Nice work Noel!
BTW, It’s a 3 page article.

TK’s Joe Z. That article was sent a few yr’s ago and lots has changed on it after you and your wife was here.
Now has a lot more stuff to play with by having a trailer added when you come to visit the kiddy’s. LOL.
Good article, Noel! Even if I hadn’t seen the two pieces in person, I’d be impressed. It took two years to get it published? That’s too long to wait for a check!
Nice job Noel those carts are really a good idea but my favorite article in the Feb issue is on page 24. That depressed center flat car how to is Brilliant…
I’m starting to worry about GR Mag. Marc has been passing off the “from the editor” piece and it seems like more of the staff is writing the articles plus they are pulling up old submissions. It is interesting that Noels article is a few years old because the depressed flat car is about that old too.
Nice job Noel.
Ya two years is a bit long to publish an article. They need to speed things up a bit. Nice job building. Later RJD
Congrats to both Todd and Noel!!
Congratulations guys.
I’ve had some articles take over 2 years to publish, but I’ve had some in under a year.
No, you don’t wait for it to be published before you are paid for it. In fact, they can’t publish it until after you are paid.
I think that with as much as Marc is delegating lately, maybe he is stepping down/moving on in a short while and grooming a replacement.
Haven’t seen the issue yet, but it’s nice to hear/see that some of the LSC members get published.
On another note; two years from acceptance to publication? Really? And the mag is getting thinner and thinner? June 2007 = 130 pages; December 2014 = 90 pages . That amounts to 44% shrinkage.

2 years. I’m wondering if that is more like about average. My bank was completed in 2008. Published in 2014.
In the past GR has paid me in a matter of weeks after acceptance and the submission is printed in about 3 issues later. The rare case was the last “If I’d only known” that all happened in less than 2 months.
My guess is that GR has a file full of submissions and for one reason or another they wait until the perfect time to include them in the magazine. Once they are paid for they can do what they want with them.
Oh well as long as they keep printing that would be good.
Thanks Guys and glad also that Todd H.'s article got in. I guess they build up there storage files to get more to pick from. We have a few more in there storage somewhere.
After talking to Dick Friedman years back ( He is in our train run group ) he suggested to do the same as he has been doing in the Mag. We did, but it took a long time.
Not getting anywhere, we got together with Jerry Hansen in Neb. and started up a 2 hr. "How to " Fri. Night live show on the internet. We did this for a few years, but it got kind of demanding of our time and trying to get shows ready with different projects. This was a lot of fun switching back and forth between us live and having a live chat as we did the show. May do this again someday as we still have our 24/7 channel ( http://www.livestream.com/noelw) running on videos now and can cut in a live show anytime.
We have found out, and with others we have met here on Bob Mc C. site, one can just about find anything with all of the knowledge that can be found here. This is nice that you don’t have to wait 2 months to find out if your idea or questions are ans. but… we are still glad we still have a Garden R.R. Mag. to see what is out there too, so guess two yr’s for Todd H and myself it still is a bonus we get to show what we have done and to get a few bucks besides, is not hard to take.
Congrats Noel! I haven’t gotten around to reading the Feb. issue yet.
