It was brought to my attn by Mr. Chandler that there was a better way to read certain forums that force ads to be posted and viewed unless you are a “paying member”
…so I installed Adblock Plus 7.5 and the view now is just like before when I was paying a yearly fee to be censored…how stinking cool is that…guess it’s one less benefit for those who like to ride in the first class section?

Though I would ask you to whitelist the ads from this site. They do pay the bills here.
Easy enough to do. I put it on disable for LSC.
Some other cool plug ins:
Colorful Tabs: colors each tab a different color; you can have a color for each site
Cooliris: Does a really cool picture search of the web
FoxMarks: synchronizes bookmarks between multiple computers
NoScript: Extra protection against JavaScript and other plugins
I use Colorful Tabs, and I’ll add Tab Mix Plus to the mix as well. Ads some neat functionality to the tabs.
And the Bugmenot plugin.
I once told Shad, “If you want people to go 1st class to get rid of the ads, you’ll have to get ads that aren’t as interesting to large scale modelers.”

So since we are talking about colors and such, has anyone gotten the new flagging system to work the way it is suppose to here on LSC? I notice it marks my own replies to a subject in the forums as new and doesn’t clear it until I look at what I have written or updated.

Bob, I never see ads here,…oh wait you mean up top? those don’t hamper me! I use a few of those advertisers quite often!

The ads here are cool, they’re all related to the hobby. At the “other” site many of the ads are basically spam.
Well, swell, hot as hell!
Hey I like that idea, having to look at those ads was always “distracting”. My solution (to go with the add-on): use Firefox for less favourite sites and OPERA with the “normal sites”.

Personally I rarely go “there” so I don’t really need Adblock.
With one exception, I know all my advertisers personally. I’ve met them in person, talked with them on the phone, and even bought some of their products.
