Large Scale Central

Nice to meet you ^^

Hello everyone! My name is Will and I am new to LSC. I didn’t see a new member’s forum so I decided to post here. I am Engineercub on MyLargeScale.com as well. I do recognize lots of people here from MLS so I already have some friends yipee! I am a Locomotive Engineer for CSX and work out of Nashville, TN and live in Murfreesboro, TN. I am in the process of building a layout that will be very accessible to all G-scale participants. I don’t have a name for it yet but it is tentatively named “Conrail Resurrection Project” and will have alot of Conrail locomotives and rolling stock obviously. It will mostly model the Northeast Corridor throughout different periods but will not be limited to any road names or eras. 20’ diameter curves minimum are also in the design for high speed. Anyone feel free to talk to me if you are young, old, black, white, gay, straight, thin, hefty, tall, short, etc. I like all people and appreciate diversity. Thanks a bunch and nice to meet you all ^^

Welcome to the other loonie bin.

Might want to check the size of your profile pic, its a tad largish.

Welcome to the mob!

Welcome. Got to love the CRP RR!

Yes I am trying to figure out how to reduce my pic size right now. No luck so far. Thanks for the hospitality ^^

There you go. Welcome to the Forum of Freedom, Will! -Brian

There are a few deranged individuals hereabouts that model dismals, so you oughta fit right in…Welcome!

woohoo!! Thanks a bunch Brian ^^ and thanks to you too Kevin. What program do you use to resize your pics? Is it Mac-friendly? Thanks

-Will

I just use the software that came with my camera (ArcSoft PhotoImpression). I have PhotoShop on my Mac.

Will,

Welcome aboard. You have the mid-watch.

Bart has the coffee brewing down in the Goat Locker. Go on down, grab a rack and stow your gear. Then grab a cup of Bart’s Bunker C Fuel Oil and joint the conversation. It should be hot enough to pour by now.

We have some opinionated folks here, but don’t let that bother you. Meet broadside with broadside.

Will:

Good to see you here! Especially nice to have a prototype RR employee as a member.

Sounds like you have a good sized LS model RR site.

For web pix I use iPhoto on the Mac. It will do about anything required, including resizing of both the photo (physical size) and the file (resolution).

Happy RRing,

Jerry

Opinionated folks are HERE? I am SHOCKED!

I deal with them by visualizing a well-known cartoon about judicial reasoning.
Nine distinguished judges in robes sit in a row behind a high rostrum. Solemn expressions grace their faces, and one judge is reading from a piece of paper.
“My dissenting opinion will be brief,” he says. “You’re all full of crap.”

Hola…sorry pressed 2…

Hey Will, welcome!

Welcome Will, cant wait to see your layout. You have to keep us updated on the process

Welcome aboard!

Welcome Will ! I’m white, straight, hefty, tall

Hi Will,
Your plans sound interesting. Keep us posted with your progress.
We are a diverse group here at LSC.
Trains are our bond. We manage to coexist despite our differences.
Things can get a bit rough sometimes. Just like the real world.
Ralph

Will, a good program for the Mac is Color It: http://www.microfrontier.com/ real simple to use. I used it to teach computer art to my art students.

Welcome indeeb!!

I, too am not only diverse, but furrin.

I live in UK, most of the time, I work in Tokyo, and we spend time with our relatives and friends in Ontario and OR/WA.

Work on full-size live-steam, too, here and in USA.

Got sparkies and live-steam model trains from gauge 1 up to 1/3rd full-size.

Me and ig, we loves trains.

Best wishes
