Newqida coaches

I posted a small review of this item. This is definately a bargain and I would recommend any who have doubted the quality (as I did, initially) to buy a few and be rewarded with a first rate product, definately at least the quality of the Big Hauler range of coaches, maybe better. One is able to buy six of these for the price of only one of the ‘other manufacturer’. I never leave stock outdoors, so am not concerned as to the UV stability of the product.

PICS PICS PICS

Vic, of the six cars received, two had minor scratches in the body side. Saschen trucks are equalised as per latest LGB type trucks. Out of six cars only one wheelset looks out of true. Opening end doors (minus door handle), opening end gates and fold down intercar platform. Saschen brake pulleys fitted to roof. Not the quality of the other manufacturer, but hard to pass up at the price ($34.99 plus postage).

Cars are 587mm in length over the buffers. Roof has toilet vents and space left between the rows of seats on the floor moulding, but no toilet in cabin. Roof pops off very simply to gain access to interior. One car did have super glue ‘hazing’ on the body, but this wiped straight off with a damp cloth. Car roadname is ‘TB’, a play on ‘DB’ to avoid copyright problems. Upper crownlights on window moulding are chrome plated (does not show in photographs).

Where do you get them??

Dave,
Hammonds Toys in Salt Lake City. A link has been posted in the ‘Review’ section of the forum.

I have purchased two each of the Newqida passenger coaches, tank cars and box cars, and found them to be an excellent value. The plastic looks plastic, so a little paint goes a long way and also solves any uv concern. They also benefit from metal wheels, but what car using plastic doesnt. The fit is excellent. They come apart nicely and have unlimited potential for customizing. I have seen the ladder assemblies for the tank cars listed on ebay for $20. why do that when you can get the whole car for less than $20. With aristo trucks, paint, brass handrail, upholsred interior, people and led lighting, I am still less than $100, which is one third of LGB. I dont think its going to let me upload any pics, but if you want a before and after of my passenger car, email me.
