New wide cab kits avaliable from Prototype Model Industries

Just thought I’d let you know there is a new company making some cool new cast parts including Wide cab kits for USATs and Aristo GP Unit conversions. Anthony sent me some castings to display at our show events as we do this for free for any Manufacture to try to promote the Hobby. The kits are crisp and clean and very reasonably priced at 49.99 plus shipping. He is also making other detail parts and a caboose as well for G scale, Check out there web site for more details. www.prototypemodelindustries.com Myself and our club have no financial interest in these products other than just trying to promote the hobby.

And finally sitting next to a action figure so you can see the size which is 1/29th

Thanks! I checked out the link. Wow finally someone doing detail parts. A little to modern for me , but… I like the gp9 r kit. I have refind my modeling to 1:29 with 1 st gen diesels. I am glad to see a new aftermarket manufacturer coming out. I used to be in HO and I detailed all my locos. G scale doesn’t have to many detail manufacturers which I found kinda odd when I first entered the hobby. You would think with the size of the diesels there would be more of them. I’ll bookmark the link thanks.

Sweet!

I will have to do some more research on these wide cab conversions. It’s nice to see something “different” running on the layout.

Is it true you get 5% of all sales?

Mark Nope, just trying to let people know about stuff like this, besides his stuff is so cheap cost wise you cant go wrong. Fair price for a fair product. I might buy 2 myself and do a couple of these

They also come with the cab detail, bell and bracket, glass and snow covers. Nick

At last - an easy way to make a Canadian cab! My ONR and Algoma GP38s might get done now!

@Stan Cedarleaf - AT LAST, your decals will get used!

tac, ig & The Hamerton Creek Flood Boys

Just joking Nick. I was going to look into a CN version (again for something different) and then you post this!

Now that has a real possibility of hitting my RR!

Does it come with them ditch lights?

Deck Mount Ditchlight castings (4 per pack) 5.00

I like the Pan Am paint Nick. I can see one of them on the CJM someday only in my CJM paint. I was gonna cut the cab off a CN SD70 that I seldom use and switch it with a standard cab . Now it looks like I don’t have to do that . It’s nice to have options now. The downside it that I was thinking of having a Illinois Central black standard cab SD70 as a by-product. Decisions , decisions…
