New USTrains switches

This is secon-hand information, make what you can of it;

Apparently USTrains has introduced a NEW product, or products.

SWITCHES…long overdue…a 8 foot Diameter, and a 10 foot diameter.

They are supposed to have a metal frog (Brass ?)

It will be interesting to learn if these new switches have avoided the problems of other makes, and are an improvement overall.

It is too bad that the switches couldn’t have been in line with the USTrains already produced #6 switches, and were proper #4 frogs, and #5 frogs…or are they ?

Fred, my understanding is that 8 and 10 foot diameter switches are not standard frog numbers. Also, saying they fit a curve of such and such implies that the diverging route is curved, and not straight as in a numbered switch.

Once the are released, I too would like to see an in depth review of them.
