Switchcrafters sell a code 250 aluminum rail that is pre blackened and it wasn’t all that much more than their stock rail. The top is already clean and shiny. It what I used when I re-did this part of the layout.

Plus the rail fits the Accucraft narrow gauge ties very nicely…

Jason do you know how much the rail will expand ? it looks great also what are you using for you road bed is it the same 1x8?
