Here’s my latest toy, which cost less than $10 on Aliexpress. It’s a cordless soldering iron - recharges from a USB port (you unscrew the bit and screw on the cable.) The base twists to set the power level.
Seems to work just fine.

Huh…this would definitely improve safety on the lanai when I have to solder!
It takes 5-10 secs to warm up. Haven’t tested cool down time yet!

So funny. It’s a repurposed EVOD Twist dry herb “vape pen”. They didn’t even bother to change the name. I guess if it works…It works! lol
Well, heating up ‘vape’ oil isn’t much different from melting solder.
Depends on the type of solder I suppose.
