New Texaco Station Signs

I was putting out my buildings-must be spring! Decided ti was time to put on the new Texaco signs I had made. Found them on the internet and sized them for my building. I printed them off on Papilio ink jet vinyl paper. Sprayed them with Krylon clear and cut them out and stuck them on the buildings.

Station front here, note the lead signs on the pumps(xmas lights).

Back of the building shows the coke and cigarette signs.

Should get it out today with the rest, unless the rain gets here too quick.

Very cool.
My station is a Texaco also. Just got done doing a little detail work on the roof. Signs are next.
Too windy to work outside here today. It’s about to storm again.
It may be a good day to see how the waterslide paper works with my color laser.

I found another good source for signs:

Those that you posted will come in handy too.

Neat site Ken!

Thanks Jerry and Ken.
I made use of both Jerry’s signs as well as a few from the link Ken provided.
My color laser works pretty well…once I had the feed adjusted properly.
It chewed up three of my 6 sheets of waterslide paper before I figured it out.

Nice looking gas station, especially with the lights on.

Thanks again, Jerry. It sure didn’t seem like applying decals was such a pain when I was a kid. Seems like I did a much better job of it then. Here are a couple of pictures of my Texaco. I ran out of decal paper, so I still lack the lettering. Ralph

Wow, that’s big, but nice. Is that a Colorado models building base there? I may order their mine. What do you think of them?

Jerry,
It is the Colorado Models fire station. I have this and 2 store fronts that will make up a downtown block.
The kits are very nice, for the price.
I’ve been working on the three kits for over a year. They have been outdoors most of this time. Haven’t had any problems with them warping yet.
