Large Scale Central

New switch put in

I installed one of the switches I made from the plans in GR, helped relieve a tight area. Second switch I made sure went faster than the first. Still need to put some epoxy in around the frog though, forgot that.

and are there pics of this switch Jerry?

Well it took me awhile, I’m 66 ya’ know?

What about Hollywood?

Thanks guys,
Just read over on MLS that Marty bought a bunch of USA switches to replace his that he’s made over these years. I was shocked!

They do require a bit more to maintain than the commercial ones, but I like them because they can be built to fit a specific area and they're a whole lot cheaper, so there's a trade-off involved. I have a combination of both stub switches and point switches, which is another reason I like building them, You can't buy stub switches and they are easier to build than a point switch. Once ya get the hang of it, it's just one more part of the hobby to enjoy. Like the battery guys say, Welcome to the dark side.......;)
