New smartphone access WTH?

ARRGGH whats the deal with the new format when accessing from my smartphone ?

Its now harder to figure out whats been happening.

All topics are generic with no listing of who or when the last posting was made, and I can no longer go to the last most recent post but now instead have to scroll thru the whole dam thing to get where I am going.

That’s a whole lot of tedious no fun on very long topics.

Also the photos only show half (or less) of any pics, the rest is buried off to the side in the netherworld.

This is supposed to be easier, why is it when anything gets “upgrades” it gets alot tougher to just do the simple things?

Dislike that I cannot go to the last post and really dislike the disappearing picture act, whats the use of using the mobile device if I can only get half (or less) of any pictures?

Not much of a fan of it… so far.

I tried a simple upload of a pic from my phone…phhrtp, just sat there saying “loading” after 5 minutes I killed it.

tried simple text reply, got “Bad Server Response” tried again got “Fatal Error” now its just spinning “Loading” again…

Whats irritating is this USED to be one of the easiest sites to work with on my phone, now - not so much

Its a phone plugin Im testing myself. Ill be taking it offline in a bit. Its not mature yet.

I thought that change was a bit out of the blue. Sorry if my above posts were a bit terse, its been too dang hot around here.

On an analytical note:

Yep, dont work quite yet…

From phone, could read and navigate posts, posts automatically realign text depending on whether phone is vertical or horizontal, but any pics in posts do not resize to fit either, so only 1/4 to 1/2 of standard images can be seen. Cannot scroll pic to see all of image.

Could not post at all from phone, see message above, that was with several attempts.

That lack of going to the last most recent post is kinda of a big deal to me, there are some topics, mine included, that are multiple pages long.

Kalmbachs mobile platform for Trains, GR MR etc, has a similar issues, you have to scroll through the whole long thread to get to the last post, its a real PITA considering some topics are quite literally over 200 pages long. but they also offer an OUT, a tab on the bottom of the page that allows the mobile user to go to the full website, which eliminates alot of the format and image problems of the rather limited mobile platform.

Maybe thats something that could be incorporated into any future mobile platform here
