New site issues

Did I miss the memo on embedding URL’s? I tried the (url)xxx(/url) but that didn’t work. Am I not holding my jaw right again? I hate it when I do that. The ( is equal to a [ bracket.

Is it possible to put a preview in the edit function? That would help a lot, too.

Thanks.

If this was easy, you could get it at K-Mart.

When posting URLs using the tag DO NOT include the http://

Took me a little while to get that one.

Thanks, Jon. That works.

Done

during the last two or three days i noticed, that in the "General"view there are no more indicators, in which forum there are new posts.

(plus, repeating myself, some “go to first unread” feature for opening individual threads would be very handy)

See:

That particular feature was slowing down the site. He’s working on it.

ah, thanks. my speciality again: knocking at open doors…

Thanks for knocking at that open door, 'cause I was gonna knock until I found that you had pushed it open.

Good Morning Bob,

My Quick Reply is extremely small. Is this a problem on my computer or on LSC? Seriously so small that I can’t see if I have spelling errrors. Is it something I need to change on my end.

Thanks for the new site, glad to see the progress.

That was good.

I was signed in, went to “Home” page, clicked on “Today in railroad history” Viewed the listings, went back to the home page, and it came up as if I was a Guest and or asked me to sign in. I verified this three times.

I had to sign in twice but than it was happy.

Wow, thats an interesting one, and it just did it for me, too. Added to the list.

Well, Bob, I must say your new avatar looks much more like you than the old one did. Ha!

Hi Bob

I was trying to access some of Bruce Chandler’s articles and kept getting an off the track message. I contacted him but he says he has no problems with the links. I went back and checked a few random articles by other people. Those going offsite seem to work but those loaded in freight sheds do not.

Appreciate your help when you get a chance.

Thanks

Boomer

Do you have a link to some that arent working? Are you going into the article section and clicking, or what?
