New Project utilizing laser cut wood and 3d printing

Another little project I have been working on is this hand Pump Car. I features laser cut basswood, and the same wheels from my pushcart with a twist. a few weeks ago I purchased the Cadillac of desktop printers out there the FORM 2 STL machine.

still waiting for one of the bits to finish up, and will post a picture then.

I was able to print all the major hardware parts including carriage bolts and nut/bolt castings and the wheels which are perfectly round. no more spin cast parts for me. select folks are getting trial kits for assembly testing and comments. have not determined price yet.

Forgot to add, the gears are printed as well, they mesh and the handles do bob up and down. that said however it will not take abuse and best demonstrated by roiling the wheels. some one may have an inkling to power it, it is beyond my desires.

Ken, I think I have it now. I was trying to make it harder than it was.

another little item I printed, D&RGW water spouts. I had a request to do one in HO scale, and as I always draw full scale and apply a scale factor. so presto change on the scale factor and we have correctly sized water spouts. I made the large scale version hollow as well.

those pieces look very smooth and precise.

may i ask, in what price category the FORM 2 STL machine is?

the total package was around 5K. I figured I had spent at least that much on professional services over the years to get the quality I wanted to make spin cast parts. not for the faint of heart but when compared to pro machines that do the same thing a bargain.
