new paint schemes for USA GP38-2

I noticed on RLDs site there are few new paint schemes for the USA GP38-2. This engine is a great choice for anyone modeling the 1960s to today. It has good power and tracking, and runs well pulling either the older style 1950s equipment, all modern equipment, or even a transition era of both. http://rldhobbies.com/gp38-2s.aspx

Although I would tend to be drawn toward the MEC or B&M of previous runs…the engine that catches my eye this time around is the modern CSX scheme!

I had one painted in ICGRR colors when they were named. 9600 was named for Casey Jones.

The USAT GP38 is a great engine. mine has taken a tumble on more than one occasion and had a few wire fire mishaps that were somewhat easily repaired and it keeps on rolling. It gets the call to do the heavy lifting like snow control.
I like the Bangor and Aroostok scheme but prefer the local line of the now mostly tourist Cape Cod Central.

Looking forward to getting one this year. Later RJD

I really like that CSX paint scheme. I had emailed USA a long time ago about doing their SD70MAC in it. I will have to do it myself I guess. I probably will flare the rads. I’d like to have that GP too!
