As noted in the other thread Hermann Schöntag will be the new owner of LGB, starting Jan. 1st 2007.
There has been quite a bit of coverage in the German press with interesting background information. Some has been put through “Google” with hilarious results, but that is to be expected.
In any case, I’ll translate some of the “stuff” after the holidays, time permitting. I’m also still waiting for the official announcement from the insolvency court.
