Hey Larry, welcome back to the RR world!

Thanks Bob

It’s really fun to combine railroading and photography and rocks too!

Larry,

Nice pictures!!

Great mature garden RR shots and welcome back!
Love the water shots!

Hi Larry - Welcome! I remember you from that other place, and from the ECLSTS. Nice pictures. WE LOVE PICTURES !!!. If my memory serves me right, you had a pretty big 1:29 modern era layout layout with long trains, then switched to live steam and tore up a bunch of your layout. It looks like you still have a pretty good size layout. What scale /era are you doing this time? EDIT PS: You probably remember me as JRad with this sig…

P.P.S. First time I’ve admitted that old persona on here

Larry:

I really like your ‘small animal’ vignettes. They give a depth and purpose to the included water or (in the case of the pigs) rock feature.

I was particularly interested in the large amount of infrastructure and landscaping you previously did. Are you still using that layout / site. Was it worth doing compared to where your RR interests are now?

Your RR’s ability to handle long trains with a purpose was also among the items I remember. Do you still do that?

Thanks for the pix & please let us see more.

Happy RRing,

Jerry

Larry,

I already welcomed you via email but here’s a hearty public WELCOME in addition. Good to see you amongst the living again.

Nice photos. I think I’ve seen the one with you and the dog before haven’t I? I sure like your engine service area in one of the photos. Very nice!

Don’t worry Jon. Your secret is safe here.

Welcome aboard Larry, from Regal out in West. Ne. Look forward to more postings and pics. Regal

Larry,
Welcome back…Are you going to be at East Coast on the 23 & 25 of Sep?
Noel

Thanks Guys. Yep I use to have a 100 foot train of inter modal and a 100feet of coal… Trouble is even though they looked good on a 330 foot main line storage and places to go was a problem. I really need an acre… not gonna happen :frowning: Noel, we only do the spring ECLSTS. I’ve dabbled in all scale in 45mm. The trouble with 7/8ths is motive power… I’m pretty good a scratch building but have never liked my engines. So a good compromise is what I’m focusing on at the moment. I have a live steam K36 (which is mind boggling runs for over an hour without running out of water or gas and is great at slow speed switching) and an electric K37. Was that a run on sentence? And I have an NW2 cow and calf for the grand-kids. Forgot the birds…

Nice Pictures, Larry & welcome back…

welcome back Larry. Nice pike

Oops…Jerry, didn’t answer the question. Yep same site. It’s maturing as each year goes by. But then I’m always changing something. A lot of the plants have grown a lot so I’m pulling some out to improve site lines
