New loco on the In-ko-pah Railroad!

The newest addition to the In-ko-pah Railroad is this shiny new Bachmann “Anniversary” edition 4-6-0 from Barry’s Big Trains! It has the custom BBT drive mechanism and is equipped with realistic Phoenix PB9 sound. I Photoshopped the smoke.

It looks and runs great! Nice and smooth, and a strong puller. The sound is awesome too.

I had not intended to spend so much for a new loco but this one was too good to pass up, and is worth every penny! Also, Barry provides great service and guarantees satisifaction. Now I just need to weather it and letter it for my railroad.

Ray,
As usual, your RR looks great. Keep us posted on the BBT Annie. How many cars have you pulled so far on your grades?
Ralph

Looks like a great addition to your railroad.

Beautiful, and Guaranteed to Last!

Looks great with your rolling stock too!

cale

Thanks! It’s pulling nine cars in those pics, although two of them are the old-time side dump ore cars. All the cars have metal wheels.

Ray,

What a great looking layout. I’m happy the new loco is in such a fine home.

Ray,

I was supposed to mention, and I’m not sure I did, but this loco has one of the last flickering fireboxes made by Dennis Kleisen. Enjoy, especially at night.

Barry - BBT

Yeah, the firebox looks great at night!

Ray,
How big is the In-Ko-Pah? Every time I see pics of it, it seems to be bigger both length, width and especially height.
I’m also surprised you can still move around after placing all the rock you have on the rr.

Great pics,
Dave

Dave, the total width from fence to fence, is 50 feet. Knock about three feet off each end for the stairs. The depth, front to back, is about 20 feet, minus 2 feet or so for the footpath along the front. The height of the layout is roughly 12 feet from the top of the mountains down to the front footpath.

The footpath is another three feet above the lower yard and patio area.

Whoa Ray, that’s a heap of rock!!!

Amen! Ray probably has arms the size of my legs!

Nice shot of the RS-3 on the trestles, mate!

Ray, Congrats on the new engine. Coming from Barry’s Shop, I bet it does look, work and sound good. Should be a great addition.

Ray
Nice engine. I liked your so much I’m going to get one for myself. I just have to make up my mind on what one I would like. I feel like a kid in a candy story. I can only have one but I wont them all.

I gotta couple of older B’manns with BBT drive, they’re about bullet proof…

Thats good to know. I seem to be hard on my locos. I like to run them ALOT. The way I see it I ddi all this work to have fun so I'm going to. So long as its not raining on me or way to cold I'm playing with the trains.

I bought this loco in 1988. Around the early 90’s Barry cane out with the BBT drive and it wasn’t long after when I put one in this loco. The only thing I’ve had done to the drive since then is, Barry replaced the plastic connecting rod with a metal one. It’s still in the fleet and still runs strong.

I thought that looked familiar.

(actually, I’ve seen so many, it would really have to be distinctive).

Thanks, Ken.

Your very welcome, Barry…

Ok Ray. you did it now. here is a picture of the Loco I’m getting from Barry. Can’t wait to get her on the tracks and she how she works.
