New Link and Pin Coupler for ASM cars

I had a request for a Link and pin coupler for the 1:20.3 ASM Cars. Here is the first one out of the mold…

I like! Might have to get a few.

Nice looking connectors! I like the rust color too.

Thanks Guys.

I have to do a few stress tests on them but they work well so far…

Here is the coupler with 7 lbs dead weight on it…

Those look fantastic!! I may have to get a few myself for some ore cars I’m gonna kit bash one day.

At risk of overstating the obvious, that works!

Link and pin couplers for models have always been interesting.

Thanks Guys,

I think I need to make a pin casting also. The link is one thing i can’t cast in resin.

I have one train with the LGB link and pin couplers. Just one. And I have to have forceps with me to couple/uncouple that train because of my fat finger syndrome.

Do they provide more swing when coupled together?

More swing then what?

I would have to say they are similar to knuckle couplers, but they can be a bit more offset side to side. The link allows a bit of sideways slop.
