Korber Models, LLC to Acquire Assets of Just Trains of Delaware’s Korber product line of scale model structures
MILFORD, OH/NEWARK, DE, April 12, 2012 — Korber Models, LLC a family owned company, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of the Korber product line from Just Trains of Delaware, LLC. The acquisition includes all HO, O & G scale structure tooling, as well as existing HO, O & G scale structure inventory. In the near future, these structures including long out of stock items, will be available from Korber Models.
“We are pleased to have found a great home for this popular product family and are sure that modelers will be very excited to see these great buildings back in production under the Korber Models banner,” said Julie Mitchell & Pete Ferguson, partners in Just Trains of Delaware, LLC.
The well designed Korber structures have been a fixture on layouts of HO, O and G scale modelers, featuring a wide range of subjects with broad appeal. The unique mix of engine service, commercial and industrial structures help modelers bring their layout to life. “We are very excited to be able to bring this quality line of scale model structures back into production,” said Teresa Redmond, President of Korber Models. “We are confident the Korber line will continue to be a favorite addition to modeler’s layouts.”
The products will be manufactured in Ohio, continuing the long legacy of “Made in America” that has been synonymous with the Korber brand. The company is soliciting feedback from hobbyists on their website, http://www.korbermodels.com and in the Just Trains booth at the Eastern Division TCA meet to help drive the reintroduction of products by voting for the models they would like to see first and input on new product developments. Models will be available for sale on the Korber Models website as will the ability to register for notification of the re-launch of currently out of stock items.
