Welcome , I also just retired and it is GREAT . More time for the trains .

Welcome RJ

You retired guys have way too much fun. I’ve got at least 10 more years to serve, but it is looking more like 20 to life every day :open_mouth:

JR

Seems like ya stay busier AFTER ya retire…

Welcome aboard, and congrats on your retirement!

Got any pics of your layout?

Ray: Now that is one impressive RR on a hill side. Quite a challenge. I have not fiqured how to post pics here if some one would like to fill me please do so. Later RJD

Welcome to the site, RJ. Glad to have you on board.

To post pictures, they first have to be uploaded to some place on the web (for example the Freight Sheds here, or any of 1000 other places that will host your photos.

Then, just paste the URL into the message box when you’re entering a message, and, presto-chango, the picture shows up.

Welcome RJ,

43 years in the rail industry…hmmmmm… that could come in handy around here. Plenty of “How does the proto do it” pondering.

Welcome RJ, you will find this is a good bunch and not afraid to share their opinions and knowledge.

Bob

If you check out one of the other forums you will definately find out that some here are not afraid to express their opinions…

Welcome aboard. You will find lots of company here from the geezer bunch. I retired in August.

Warren

Welcome aboard, RJ. It seems some of us will be coming to your part of the woods in February. Hope to put a face with a name, then.

Thanks all for the kind words. Yes I 'm looking forward to meeting up with any folks who will be heading south in Feb. Ya its nice to be retired but gee the day goes by quicker than if I would have kept working. Seems like I got more done on the RR when I was working. Bob, as for the posting of photos I was afraid you’d say you’d had to put elsewhere first before they could be posted here. Oh well I’m not a computer Geek so I’ll for go that part. Thanks for the info anyway Bob. Later RJD
