New industry coming to the KMRR

Rooster gave the guys a great idea for a new industry, Moon shining. Since moon shine is illegal in these parts the guys need to find an area that is out of sight from the law. After some searching the guys decided the old mine area would be he perfect spot. Since the mine has not been used for a long time the track became overgrown. Perfect for transporting the shine out of the woods. The guys are going to spend the winter gathering the materials needed for there still. Area the still will be set up.

The guys have some HLW mini series flats and gondolas that will be fitted with some sort of tanks to hold and transport the moon shine. The guys are excited to start something new especially when the logging season is slow.

Shawn… wonderful idea… that should fit right in… :slight_smile:

Just be careful to keep open flame away from the finished product. I had a Cow Orker loose his entire garage including a classic Corvette and a Harley chopper when a small fire turned into a barn burner fueled by his 100+ gallons of home stilled. Luckily the fire company saved his house.

“Cow Orker”???

Uh Rick;

As in “Coworker” but just split up kinda funny.

The biggest still smashed in Franklin Co., VA was in a basement dug under a garage for that purpose. The detail that alerted the Feds to the operation was the unusual amount of sugar being bought and “stored” in the garage!

David Meashey

From Urban Dictionary:

As a co-worker, but of such a mentality and personality as to be almost entirely indistinguishable from a smartly-dressed cow. The differences between a cow-worker and a cow should, however, be obvious on closer examination. One is a large, mindless animal that grazes off scraps of food matter, travels in herds, and is primarily of value only because it can be eventually disposed of for the betterment of a large group of people. The other gives us milk.

If he hides it in the uncut forrest and not the stump farm he uses for pics :) :) ;)

“Cow Orker” is one of my favorite typos (the result of a misplaced hyphen in the word “co-worker”). Always good for a giggle.

Thanks for sharing and educating me. Ya know - there is a whole world out there that never invades Carlyle, Illinois. Sometimes I think the whole World outside of Carlyle is like Chicago.

Rooster anysmart Mt boy knows you never you the same path. You always take a different way so you cant be followed or found. You PA girls have a lot to learn :slight_smile:

I have an open gondola (Aristo Rio Grande) which has a load of what appears to be gas cylinders. It is in fact moonshine. :slight_smile: (They are in fact party poppers which being plastic makes a very light load.) As far as the ‘distillery’ is concerned it appears to be so well hidden that I have not yet located it and how the stuff gets open gonds is another mystery. ;

One too many “party poppers” when that pic was taken ?
:wink:
