Large Scale Central

New in Large scale 1:20.3 from the NNGC

Only a few new items coming in the 1:20.3 market place. first up from hartford products is The Frickin Machine. there are still a couple of parts to be addded to the pilot model shown. no firm price yet.

Next up Bill Banta has gone ahead and created four small stuctures for our model railroads. they start with the flagmans shanty at $95 the Blacksmith carpentry shop is $135 and the hotel is $145. i did not note the price on the water tower. he is also selling several of the accesories like the water tower ladder and the benches from the hotel porch.

Bill will be updating his website soon to reflect these additions. I picked up the Blacksmith/Carpentry shop to start with. the kit consists of laser cut masonite for the main frame and other basswood and laser cut plywood for the windows. i suspect i will keep this building indoors but will start by soaking the major components in clear polyeurthane to seal the parts. I will try to document my build in the upcoming weeks

Al,
The Banta kits look great. I really like the water tower. I can always use another water tower

I made a Banta wooden cab for one of my Shays, and it was a VERY fine finished item. My nephew, Dick Smith [POC], now has it.

BTW, is there any way of reducing the size of the images? I’m getting a complete screenful [my monitor is 24" BTW] with less than a tenth of the image as posted…

sorry about the picture size guys. still at the convention and working on a brand new laptop that is not fully configured and not all the software loaded. perhaps Bob can resize them for me.

The Frickin Machine would look just perfect outside of a sawmill.
