Wax on. Wax off.
Hey Jerry, you mean you run trains that long on your layout? WOW … how about a trackplan of your layout and a picture of the train at your elevator.
Sorry guys, meant to get a shot, but never did, now gone. Hans, you can see an overhead shot of my layout on my web site.
I really need to get back in the habit of keeping a camera with me.
I used to do it with a bulky 35mm SLR.

No HJ This is from the other Jerry, Jerry Barnes is talking about REAL trains down there in Lexington, not the ones around his layout!!! HJ confused??? Hee Hee LOL The Other Jerry The Regalhttp://
Oh really … and here I thought he had problems fitting all these grain cars on the siding by his elevator. Could have been just another glitch in the TrainOps program. Now lets see 100 x approx. 24" means a 2400"+ siding on the layout. Piece of cake with “TrainOps”!
BTW I’m still trying to figure out a way to get a whole unit train - either coal, grain, potash or sulphur - into the picture. Haven’t found a long enough straight open strech of track yet here in the neighbourhood. When I do, I’ll post a picture for sure. Or I could shoot a video next time I come across one. Then post it in the Prototype section.
Note for those who read in the “Photography” section, too. In addition to the Panasonic TZ5, I now also carry along a Canon FS100 most of the time when I’m heading out of the house and a bit farther afield.
But that’s another story.
