New forum picture posting

The navigation to link a photo is a bit different, but I managed to go and manually copy the link, etc… not a big deal. What worries me is the old forum either resized or put slider bars on larger photos, but this one seems to post the left side of the photo up to the boundaries of what’s allowed… is there a tool or method to work around that? I’m sure simply posting smaller dimensioned photos would help, but it’s also nice to be able to click it and get a big one, particularly for something where folks want to look at details.

So, if there’s some kind of coding trick, I’d love to know it. If not, I can make it work. Just figured it’d be worth asking.

Oh, hey, and the linking now works even better than the old one did, so the first issue has already disappeared as if by magic! Huzzah!

*** And, an edit: Not always. In some posts, clicking the freight shed button opens a list of files, clicking one of them posts a link in the post that inserts the picture. Easy peasy!

In others, like the challenge thread photo I posted, not so much. Clicking the file in the freight shed does nothing except open a small window with some of the photo visible, and then if you manually copy the link, you only get the left 2/3 of the photo. Clicking the photo which would normally make it pop open to full size, gets me the “off track” error.

So… not a complaint… just something I’m having trouble figuring out on my own…

You have to re-size your photos to 800x600.

Not too big of a deal on new posts. But large photos posted on the old site are all hacked off on the right side

Great.

Not thrilled. Oh well.
