New for 2010 from LGB

The “NEW”(???) for 2010 stuff from LGB® Märklin all on one page

New paint. No word on the just pre-bankruptcy USRA 0-6-0 or Lenz 0-4-0 either I see…

Nothing of interest for me sad to say…

Back in 2006 on another forum, I mentioned that I considered the LGB F7 to be hardly likely to be manufactured again. Some may not be aware that the motor block from the F7 was used in the Genesis locomotive, made in China. A respondent at the time, who is now the communications manager for a well known company in Philly, replied that the F7 was not to be written off, hinting that future production was planned. Well, it seems that the respondent was correct. However, will it be Gyor or China that has the pleasure of manufacturing this locomotive?

The streamliner cars have always been highly sought after and even the original black window models, still attract considerable eBay attention. The American locomotives and streamliners will be popular releases. No prizes for picking the RhB releases.

Would you give us a best guess on the U.S. cost for the F7 – per the german price listing shown on the new offerings.
Thanks,
Wendell

Wendell,

If I’d have a crystal ball … my best guess: higher than the “non-connoisseur” will swallow, even if he swallows really hard.
