Wanted to share with you my latest build. It is pretty crude, simple, but very functional for carrying your engines. This was made with some scrap cedar fencing I had around. It will carry all my engines which includes the old restored k-27 which is taller and longer and wider than most. It will hold the engine and tenders on all of my engines which makes it easier and simpler to get to the outdoor track than before and back again. It is 4ft long and has a removable wood dowel for carrying and a removable front block to keep engine from rolling out when you don’t want it to or by accident tip it like I did too far, or get unbalanced while carrying! Almost lost an engine “whew” but gave me a scare so like they say “necessity is the mother of invention” I got a rude awakening. I have also built into it a makeshift somewhat of a wheel re-railer when you tip it up on your track once there you can roll out engine to another re-railer on the track itself and roll it off the carrier and back on again. Once in the carrier it is free in its carrier but stable, and I’m going to later down the road put in some rail and have it so I can with Battery power setup run it off onto track and or back it up into carrier. This was just a simple temporary fix for my getting locos out to the layout. The Regal
. There is now a block not shown which is removable to keep engine from rolling frontwards out of the carrier!!
