Large Scale Central

New chocolate factory loading faccilities

Not a good 'photo I am afraid. It was hurriedly taken during the afternoon train ops. The roof does not slope and I forgot to open the shutters in the left hand bay.

I need to apply some signage to describe its function.

The function of this addition to an existing unloading dock it to receive the syrup from tank cars and dry goods for the chocolate factory. I dare not call it Hersheys - it is way toooo small.

Second pic is the existing loading depot which is now separated from the freight depot shown behind it.

Alan,
Remove the spaces in the file name and reload them to your Freight Shed.
Ralph

I tried that four times Ralph…no joy. aaaargh! Will try again

Are you using the “insert/edit image” button?
Ralph

Harder to post pics than build the model lol Pasted it eventually Ralph. The second pic posted OK but the new (first would not) even after getting rid of gaps, Bur I think they are there now.

Thanks for the help.

This structure - where the pump house is fitted - started life as a bird box which someone threw out. My original intention was to add two wings, one on each side of the same dimensions, which would give me three building viz. Sheriff, barbers shop and bank. I never could find a suitable place in the yard for this as I have no real roads.

Ralphs creamery project and the sludge works by Bruce fired my thoughts towards this project. I have a Hershey tank car, a mo;asses tank, DOW petrol, boxcars and covered hoppers plus gonds, so there was enough stock to service the freight yard, which will take three cars and some on the main.

So there it is, all painted and now in situ. Just the signage and some switching to make sure all is well.

Use the button
Ralph

Nice work Alan. I still have not figured how to add pics. Oh well. Later RJD

Thanks RJ

I post pics into the freight shed and then psot here. I will give you a call sometime.

The first pic shows a boxcar unloading dry products and a syrup tank car supplying through the pumping station.

The second is of a covered hopper with a load of sugar and a fuel tanker replenishing the facilities storage tank.

Thanks Ralph. I was trying to follow your instructions…but I haven’t sussed it out yet. I tried two different insert ways. Never mind, tomorrow is another day.

The button with the picture of ^^ a tree above is all you need to use

That is REALLY nice, Alan! You definitely do nice work!!

Ed

OK, youse guys. Here’s how you fix the text thing, so listen up!

First you have to be in “Edit” your post. If you end up with text like Alan did above, highlight that text, right click and select “cut”. The text will disappear. Then click on the little box up top of the reply box that looks like a tree that is “insert/edit image”. Then go to the box that says “image url”. Right click, select “paste” click “Insert”, and the picture will magically appear!
