Got my new crossing flasher set up, correct railroad relay in the garage to make it flash. Still need to hook the bell up to a switch so its just for decoration right now. All four lamps light up and flash as they should. Hopefully by next spring I will have the garden railway up and running again. Mike

I picked a pair of lights and a cross arm out of a neighbors dumpster 4-5 years ago. I changed the bulbs to 12V tail-light bulbs (same base) and used an old-school turn signal flasher to flash them. I started making to post from Schedule 40 PVC and cross-bucks from wood, but I got side tracked and never finished it. The lamps still hang in my garage. If I were ever able to find the rest of the parts (cross-buck, bell, post and base) I’d definitely get it planed in the garden.
The real thing looks SO much better than the replicas they sell in GR.
