NEED Yellow Dizzies?

Hello All

Well I am in need of some NEW yellow undec Bachmann 45 tonners, if anyone has any extra’s they dont want or know of any sitting in hobby shops cheap pls let me know , you can PM me if needed.
I would prefer NIB but would look at any as long as the price and deal are right.

I run a complete fleet of nothing but dizzies have all the other colors but seem to have missed out on the yellow, probbaly due to my on silliness or is that dizziness ? LOL

Thanks all …

Terry

Terry…I saw that caboose hobbies had one (not sure of color) for $77.77—not sure who I sold my Yeller one to?

cale

Define cheap.

Trainworld APPEARS to have them for $90. http://www.trainworld.com/bachmann/bachmann%20G%20ENGINES.htm

Thats a bit more than the bargain price a few years ago. Mine was yellow, too.

Might be fun to get a cheap one and paint it the color you want…

Ohh, $77 is tempting, but what would I do with it?

Later,

K

M-7?

Or, for your era, maybe M-1?

I don’t know what you’re waiting for, Kevin!!!

I bought 4 for $60/ea from RSS a few years ago(2 black, 1 red, 1 yellow)…sold 2 shells, kept trux…traded 1 to Matt for a ST Porter…have one converted to batt, but needs new throttle (used in ST Porter), i love them, but they really don’t fit with what I hope to accomplish…but sometimes I think…what if…and dream of a fleet pushing cars around the layout

Now’s the time to modify them, Cale!

or send it up to you with the Visa and hope for a Boxcab?

Cale

Hmm…is there any credit limit left?

I’ve got one NIB (factory sealed shipping container) in the attic, but I don’t remember what color it is. I have a Red and a Yellow undec on the layout - all 4 trucks have been re-wired to eliminate the contact points. I bought them right from RRS but I don’t really want to sell any of them.

And here I thought I was the only one. (The one I bought from Cale hadn’t arrived yet when this was taken…)

Yellow, Red, Black, and two custom, the green and the Black Army one … Someday I may combine the yellow ones, and the red and black (non army) one to make two large diesels. Matthew (OV)

Notice how few of these moved at the original street price and how many of us fell in love with them once they went under $100. That speaks volumes about the impulse buy market in Large Scale.

A diesel? On my railroad? What am I waiting for? Flying pigs, for one. Of course, you–having operated on my dad’s railroad–already know the deep, dark secret from my rebellious years:

Yes sniff it’s true. I used to build them.

In talking with your Dad and Mom there’s lots of deep dark secrets…

Just think M-1! Suzi would like it!

Actually, never been there but seen it on TV…your dad’s rr that is, in a DVD from Spicer Pro (great kids DVD BTW) …I did see two diesels…the Siderod and another that favored a RS-3…Nice looking units as well…but didn’t know Lil’ Kevin built them… and if Suzi needs one…and she is anything like my kids…I’d get her a mack! cale

The one pictured above is the only diesel I scratchbuilt. The RS-3-looking loco is probably the NW-2 that was commercially made in the mid 80s, though I don’t remember who made it. Wood frame with an aluminum wrapper, and NWSL trucks. That was a simple repaint. Dad’s partial to the NW-2s as his grandfather used to ride them as a brakeman on the B&O. I did at one point build new end platforms on it after it got in a wreck. (Literally–it was in the back of my car when I fell asleep behind the wheel. I try not to do that anymore.) That happened right before the '92 garden railway convention. The loco still ran, even with mangled front and rear ends, so I hung “Operation Lifesaver” signs on the sides of the hood for when we were on tour. Can’t say my car fared as well.

I kitbashed one from an LGB 4-wheel switcher, and truth be told, I’d love to re-bash that one, as I found the perfect EBT-related prototype. One of the brick refractories had a 4-wheel switcher that’s just screaming to be modeled. They also had a neat 0-6-0 which is on my list of possibilities.

It’s just one more project on the list, right?

I’m leaning towards Playmobil for Suzi. They still have their R/C train sets, which should run well on my railroad. (I tried to convince Allison that Suzi needed a K-27.)

Later,

K

It’s not that she NEEDS a K-27, but just imagine being the only kid on the block with one!
