Need selling advice

Hello,

I have LGB items I want to sell, but could use some advice. I have a 2073 tank locomotive with two passenger coaches plus 19 curved and 17 straight sections of track. Also a Tech II power pack, some figures, etc. All items are in excellent condition and date from about 1983. My preference would be to sell it all together. I am reluctant to use Ebay for this. I could put it on Craigslist or put it on this site. There is a local hobby shop that takes items on consignment. Does anyone have any thoughts about the best approach?

Thanks

Ed Brady

Ed, I’d give the guys here first shot.

Hello Ed
I agree give the guys here a chance. Second would be Craigslist to sell the whole lot and Ebay is good for individual items like one car, the power pack and groupings of track. You would get the most money for the items there due to the wider audience but there are fees and shipping to deal with.
Photos are always good with realistic prices of course.
Who knows there may be someone here that lives close to you.

Good luck

Hi Ed,

Best bet is to offer it here first. I may be interested in the Tech II power pack and the track for the grandsons. I have had brass stuff in my local hobby shop for two years if that gives you an idea.

Thanks, all. I’ll put it on here for sale.

Offer the items to your local Garden RR Club next (after HERE, of course). Be realistic about the prices. Just because it’s old doesn’t mean it’s valuable! (I say that whenever I look in the mirror!)
