Could someone direct me to some articles, magazines, resources, etc. for planning and building an outdoor elevated track layout? I live in the upper midwest and am concerned about what the harsh weather up here can do to an elevated system. I am not interested in placing track in ballast in the ground. Although I would be interested to know if a ballasted and elevated track system is feasable/desireable. Thanks.
