Need DVD Help Please

Wanting to get a copy of “the Polar Express” for the grandkids for Christmas. Like everything else, this becomes difficult. Amazon.com has got 4 different versions.
Full Screen Version
Widescreen Version
Two Disc Special Edition
HD DVD Edition

We have regular TV and DVD player, which one should we get? Thanks in advance for your help.

You know this type of stuff used to be so simple, black and white or color and if you had a black and white the color didn’t matter.

Full screen looses some of the right and left sides of view. OK for small TVs.
Wide screen is the option of choice if you have a large TV monitor.
I don’t know what’s in the 2 disc version, except prolly “making of” and technical stuff on how they did it.
HD DVD only if you have a DVD player capable of playing it and an HD TV monitor.

I’d settle for the Wide screen version.
Or, if you are interested in the making of, etc, get the two disc version. Make sure it is wide screen.

Thanks John, that is what I thought, but the more I thought, the more I thought I’d better get another opinion. We watched the Polar Express the other night on HBO and I could watch it again tonight. Hoping to make it a tradition at Christmas at the Grandparents.
