Nebraska Steam Up

My friend Ron Teten came over on a cool/damp Nebraska Sunday morning and we ran our Accucraft live steamers. I have a modified Mogul, he has a new Forney. Plumes were great and we had a good time. Mogul ran smooth as silk. Ron’s Forney is a fast little devil, even with some cars hooked to it. We need to get the modified throttle pieces installed we got from Jason.

Ron is standing back as the Mogul moseys along past the town.

Good steam plumes.

Ro’s Forney zipping along, I had to use a fast shutter speed, but we did get it slowed down.

Looks like you guys had fun. I ran a few of my regners today also.

Hi Jerry,
Wish I could have joined you but I am over 1500 miles east of Lexington. We had a small steam up at a friends layout over in Bel Air MD. Beautiful day for it. Low 70’s. Had the best tasting hamburger since I left Nebraska. Local grass fed beef and you know how we Cornhuskers are about our beef. Worse than football…lol.

Happy Memorial Day fellow soldier.

Noel

Well, I too would have liked to have joined in the fun - but I’m even further away - like, about three thousand eight hundred miles…

Great-looking layout there, Jerry, looking especially good now all that pesky white stuff has gone.

Tac,

Wish it were my layout but it belongs to Jerry Barnes way out in Lexiton Nebraska.

Noel

Well, I KNEW that. I thought I’d aimed my post at Jerry, but I see I didn’t have my hearing aids in properly

Lemme just amend it.
