Ten years of dreams and five years of hard work will come to fruition at the end of 2009 when the former Erie Railroad WC Tower in Waldwick, N.J., reopens as a museum.

What a neat old tower. Would make a nice compliment to David’s Lemo tower. Condition as of early 2000’s…

That is a nice tower.
The unrestored tower would make a cool model in a modern RR.

Every time I get a chance to drive up that way, I’m amazed at the amount of RR’s that passed through that part of the country. I had a delivery in a little town called Warwick, NY a few weeks ago. Cute little town and about halfway through it came to a RR x’ing. Looked to the left and about a half block away was the RR station. Neatest looking little stone depot . Looked like it had been restored because it was in pretty good shape. I sometimes wish I had my camera with me, but then again, it’s tough finding some place to park an 18 wheeler where it’s out of the way…

Isn't that why they make 4-way flashers :D :D

I used to work with a guy who lives in Warwick. Never been there though.

Nice looking tower… Glad someone has taken the steps to re-hab the building…

Ken, out here, most towns now have a turn lane in the middle of the road, so people turning left, don’t interrupt the flow of traffic (yeah, right)… The truckers have now taken that turn lane, as a place to park their truck, when they run into a store, fast food resteraunt, or to just catch a snooze… The auto carriers now use the turn lane, to park, and unload the vehicles for the dealers…

“The auto carriers now use the turn lane, to park, and unload the vehicles for the dealers…”

And if they don’t like you, they’ll through things at your truck.

Is that how they answer a salute?
Do they throw more when the salute with is accompanied by vocals and a horn

but Ric, I told you, that car hauler was moving, hadda be doing at least 60, on a two lane road, on the curve, when it thru out a brick sized hunk of something, the bounced of the side of my windsheild. I never got to say “HI” to da driver…

and the skid mark is still on my windsheild, tyvm…

That comes as a standard feature on trucks. Kinda like the Aston-Martin in the James Bond flix…hit the switch and it spews out any kinda junk ya want…bricks, bolts, stones, old mufflers…
